The color and spell of the Armenian New Year quite ideally emotes the verve of the country. Joy and ecstasy laced with food, drinks, flush and colors epitomized for this day... And New Year’s celebrations offer a popular spectacle for the eyes in the form of fireworks; it has recently become a tradition in Yerevan... Just let's feel this all in the NEW YEAR PARTY!!!
Day 1 – December 30
Arrival. Our tour guide welcomes you at the airport. Transfer. Hotel check-in. Rest.
Meet up with the guide again. Yerevan City Tour. Yerevan is lik e a fairy-tale city on New Year’s Eve. Immerse yourself in the magical atmosphere of the Republic Square marveling at the giant Christmas tree with its thousands of lights in the middle of the square. Walking down the Abovyan Street, one of the oldest streets in Yerevan which was on the Silk Road, Norhtern Avenue, Opera House. Visiting the Collosal Monument of Cascade, Mother Armenia Monument with the biblical Mount Ararat view. “Covered” Bazaar. Blue Mosque. St. Gregory Church. Welcome lunch at a traditional Armenian restaurant. Touring “Noy”Brandy – Wine Factory (founded in 1877) and its cellars. Tasting the sophisticated Armenian brandy and wine (from 1944)!!!
Day 2 – December 31
An unforgettable tour to Garni Pagan Temple and Geghard Cave Monastery. Garni is a 1st century temple similar to the Greek Parthenon located at a stunning mountainous setting surrounded by d eep gorges. It’s the only Hellenistic temple in the territory of the former USSR countries. It was the summer residence of the Armenian kings. Continue to Geghard Monastery (13th century) carved out of a monolithic huge rock.It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was here where the “holy spear” was kept piercing Christ’s side. Lunch at a local house in Garni village where you can participate in barbecue and Armenian bread “lavash” baking in an earth-stove!!!
Evening Program: Welcoming the new Year 2012 at one of the best Armenian restaurantswith live music, lots of food and drinks (optional).
Day 3 – January 1
Free day. Explore Yerevan on your own!
Day 4 – January 2
Visit the biggest ski resort of Armenia, the town of Tsaghkadzor (“Valley of Flowers”). There are excellent conditions for cross country skiing and snowboarding especially on the Teghenis Mountain for which you can use Chair Lift. So just prepare your skis, skate and snowboard clothing: goggles, gloves, warm hats and etc. to enjoy your winter holiday here. By the way you can find all ski, skate and snowboard equipments in the town for rent. Lunch.Then visit Kecharis medieval monastic complex (13th century) located in the town.
Day 5 – Janaury 3
Transfer to airport. Departure. After having such a wonderful time in Armenia, lots of new impressions and relaxation say “good bye” to Yerevan catching your last view of the illuminated streets of beautiful pink buildings built by the local tuff stone. This trip was a truly rewarding reminiscence which will remain in your heart forever…

The dates of the itinerary can be changed according to your flight schedule. Other changes can be made upon your request. Your stay in Armenia can be prolonged at Armenia’s major ski resort town called “Valley of flowers” if you are interested in skiing.
We could also prolong the program organizing tours for the Armenian Christmas which is held on January 6.
